OMNI Academy
3D modeling for children
From a first idea to an engineering project of their own
The Omni-Bot World 3D modeling course is a hands-on introduction to design, construction and the foundations of engineering thinking.
A child does not simply learn the buttons of a program and repeat finished models. They learn how a real object grows out of an idea: they picture it, design it in digital space, check dimensions and structure, correct mistakes and end up with a finished 3D model of their own.
Not just using technology — learning to create it.

How a project is built
- Idea
- Sketch
- 3D model
- Check
- Correction
- Finished project
What the child learns
Form and space
- basics of three-dimensional modeling
- working with geometric shapes
- placing objects in three-dimensional space
Dimensions and precision
- dimensions, scale and proportion
- symmetry and alignment
- stability and balance
Construction and result
- joining parts into a structure
- basics of moving joints
- modular elements
- designing for a specific task
- basic preparation of models for 3D printing
- presenting a project of their own
An engineering task instead of a copy
Instead of being told to repeat a finished model, the child is given an engineering task. For example, while building the arm of a robot:
- Why is the arm made of several parts?
- Where does it have to move?
- How should the parts be joined?
- Why must both sides have the same dimensions?
The point is that the child learns to think and to solve, not to copy the teacher.
How the teaching works
- Explanation
- Experiment
- Own solution
The teacher introduces a new principle, shows it on a clear example and then helps the child apply it independently. Mistakes are part of the process: the teacher guides rather than does the work for the student.
The main question is not whether you made it exactly like mine, but why you decided to do it this way.
Engineering missions of Omni-Bot World
Ordinary learning objectives are presented as engineering challenges, so an exercise turns into a task worth solving.
The Omni-Bot factory has found a defect: the left and right arms of the robot have different dimensions. Your mission is to restore the symmetry of the structure.
From a digital model to a real object
- I imagined it
- I designed it
- I checked it
- It can be made
A correctly prepared 3D model can later be prepared for 3D printing and become a physical object. Printing is not part of every lesson — it is where a correct model can lead.
The learning path
Level 1 is the course we teach today. The two levels after it are the planned continuation of the path, not courses with a published schedule.
-
LEVEL 1
3D modeling and the basics of design
The child learns to create.
Current course -
LEVEL 2
Mechanics and engineering structures
The child begins to understand how mechanisms work.
Continuation stage -
LEVEL 3 PRO
Motion, motors and introductory electronics
The structure starts to move and becomes a working robot.
Continuation stage
- Model
- Mechanism
- Motion
- Robot
We do not try to decide in advance whether a child will become an engineer, a designer or a programmer. Our task is to give them the chance to build technology with their own hands, to ask questions, to look for solutions and to see the result of their own idea.
